I want to get my documents legalized for a Dubai work visa in India. However, I don't know the exact procedure to legalize the documents for it in India and How do I get my documents attested for it?

Documents Legalization Process for Dubai Work Visa in India:

Documents Legalization for UAE- Dubai is done centrally by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), India. The UAE requires personal as well as educational documents attested to be submitted at the time of applying for an employment visa. Dubai attestation is one of the most common procedures that is followed for the employment documents because of the scope of job opportunities in the emirates. Getting an attestation seal from the UAE embassy on your documents conveys that your documents have been successfully stamped & verified from the UAE Embassy in India. UAE Embassy attestation is mandatorily required after getting an attestation from the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). These documents further require attestation from the UAE government before granting a visa for the UAE, which is the MOFA (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) in UAE. The general procedure for the certificate attestation for UAE is as follows:

Regional Level: It is the beginning level of the documents legalization procedure. This stage of verification of documents can be done by the notary or the University from where the documents were issued, as per the requirement.

State Government: The verification of documents from the state is performed by three different organizations as per the type of document. These departments are Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), the State Home Department, Human Resource Department (HRD). SDM is independent of the state government, whereas, the verification done by this authority is considered on the state level.

MEA Stamp: Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) is the final stage of authentication from the Indian government after which an MEA stamp is applied to the document. MEA is the central government department that deals with the foreign affairs of the country.

Embassy Attestation: UAE Embassy Attestation is carried out by the officials of the UAE Embassy for the legalization of documents. It is the final stage of the certificate legalization for UAE after the Ministry of External Affairs.

MOFA Attestation: MOFA attestation is carried out by the government of the United Arab Emirates. The officials provide a signature & stamp on the documents to make it credible to be submitted to the government.
