If your change of status has been approved then you are already in H-1B status. You only need an H:1B visa in your passport when you enter the US. So you don't need to make a trip outside the country simply for getting the visa sticker; you can edit until the next time you want to travel outside the country and get the visa sticker then. On the other hand, if your change of status to H-1B is not yet complete, you should wait in the US until it is complete. | |
