My H1B was approved recently by USCIS with the LCA role of Senior Associate. I've since been promoted to Manager and will file an amendment for the designation change to update my role. Will this delay my visa stamping process, and how long does the amendment process usually take?

1I do not think the question is about travels. expatriate SE may be more relevant (see links in top right icon). Do it matter the tittle? Considering that only 1 in 10 will be approved (there is a cap) your expertise, not the tittle, matter– Giacomo CatenazziCommented Sep 12 at 12:35

1It's also likely to depend on whether the promotion is to a wholly different job, or is more of a change in title. If you're moving from a specialist technical to a general managerial role then that may have a big impact; if they're just giving you a bit more money for the same work (or a title in lieu of more money), it probably doesn't matter and there may be no need to notify them.– Stuart FCommented Sep 12 at 13:04

There's definitely a need to notify if the title changes, and the LCA is based on that.– littleadvCommented Sep 12 at 16:55
